It is the most recent addition to my studio. I was delighted to show off the way this loom works. The loom worked perfectly, as I knew it would, and everyone was impressed with how easy it was to operate and how the loom harnesses are controlled by the computer. Eight weavers were in attendance, two of which were brand new weavers, three of which were members of the Weavers and Spinners Society of Austin, and all but the two new weavers are members of study groups at Old Oaks Ranch, under the leadership of Letitia Rogers (myself included).

įirst Official Loom Launch and (2nd) Saori Weave Day at Kendrick Kreations was held today from 10am - 4pm. Inspire one another, and everyone in the group. Consider the differences between a machine and a human being.Ĥ. Here are the four slogans of Saori for you to ponder, taken from the book, Saori: Self-In novation Through Free Weaving by Misao Jo & Kenzo Jo:ġ. I look forward to taking it to weaving groups and weaving in the garden with the "sheep".
#WEAVEIT PRO DEMP PORTABLE#
The best part of this loom is that it is so portable and simple to set up and use. This will likely be a banner for the garden - actually probably several banners as the warp is six meters long! I'm basically just emptying some bobbins leftover from other projects.

What a joy! It is so freeing to be able to just sit and weave something simple on two harnesses without any boundaries and without worrying how it is going to turn out. Late this morning, I finished warping and early this afternoon I started weaving on the ready-made warp that came with the loom. I took the opportunity last night to read some tutorials and glance over the instruction book so that I would be ready to weave today. The instructions were very clear, all the parts were labeled, and the loom was assembled in less than 2 hours. Of course, I was so excited, I unpacked it straight away and started assembling the new loom ( no drills were requ i red!). The new WX60 Saori loom arrived yesterday in perfect condition.
